Standing firm as a 6

Since there are so many messages about 6 lately, I thought I'd post one that I've been struggling with.

For a few weeks, I've been following a meditation practice from a book I wrote about, "The Enneagram and Kabbalah." As part of the meditation, you go to each point on the enneagram (which is associated with part of the body) and tell yourself some "healing verse" that should help that part of you grow as a person.

Point 6 is associated with the right leg, which "which can stand firm and true, but instead often runs scared from perceived threats or runs directly into danger to prove that it is not afraid." The healing verse described is, "Stand firm and you will see the salvation of the Lord."

I have not been able to find any answer from within about what it means to stand firm as a 6. Is it loyalty, and if so, loyalty to what? To my employer, my friends, my moral values? What if these are in conflict? And how do you reconcile standing firm with action--how is it different than merely standing still, which is just another reaction to fear, the "sin" of a 6?
