Hmmmm.......quite a popular topic. I might as well throw my two cents in. I think that CHARISMA is the ability to persuade people. This can be seen as good/positive when the person also has CHARM (a friendly attitude and easy sound). This can be seen as bad/negative when associated with pure AGGRESSION (persuade by force).
CHARISMA, in general, sounds like a "good" word because someone who has CHARISMA also has the ability to MOTIVATE people. I don't know about you, but when I'm motivated to do something, I'm generally happy that I'm getting it done (that may just be the 3 in me).
SUMMARY:
CHARISMA = PERSUASION = MOTIVATION = GOOD FEELINGS
