My WORRIED Friend,

Eights are a dichotomy in a lot of respects. I once had the privilage
to work directly under the supervision of an 8. Over the course of several
years it turned out to be a curse. This is one of the reasons which propelled
me into the study of the enneagram.

Having studied under the direction of Claudio Naranjo for a couple of yearly
seminars, I compiled a list of 8 charactoristics to watch for and be ware
of. I recall that in one seminar, there was a E-8 who approached me off-line
and said in so many words: "you are afraid of me, arn't you. I know that, I
can sniff you out". It was fairly obvious to him since over the course of
several days i had avoided him. Being a 5 type myself, I knew enough to
keep a safe distance and avoid confrontation.

Not all 8s are like this, I know, but depending upon their intensity in the
8-dom they can be pretty intense. I also know 8s that are really helpful and
want to assist others rather than exploit them.

I can send you the list off-line so as not to clutter up this message board
if you are interested. Please contact me at: "narzunof@ix.netcom.com" and I
will reply with the file.
