I have no concept of the "universal or over-arching" nature of evil. I believe that evil like the "kindom of God" is within. Therefore, as an antithesis to the discussion on charisma I would propose that evil is the embodiment of pure self interest above all else.
Some of the same questions that occurred to me about charisma also occur to me about evil. Is the existence of evil specific to an individual thus making it an internal trait or is it a perception which is actually held exogenous to the individual? If a man is evil when in society is he evil when isolated from that society?
Walter: would you care to discuss the merits of the Adlerian position vis a vis a purely semenarian view?
