The type 6 Enneagram???

Type 6's issue is trust/distrust--which is, as I've explained, closely related to comfort/discomfort, relaxation/tension, acceptance/nonacceptance, belief/nonbelief, etc.

I've already linked types 5 and type 1, under the "belief/nonbelief" part of it. Type 5 tries to decide what to believe, and type 1 takes what it's decided to believe in, and believes in it strongly.

Type 5 is 1 down from 6, and type 1 is 4 down from type 5. Let's go in the reverse direction. We get type 7 is 1 up from 6, and type 2 is 4 up from 7. Haven't I heard some stuff about a strong 7-2 connection, and how it's easy to mistype 7's as 2's and vice versa?

We're left with types 3, 4, 8, and 9. The 4 and 8 rings a bell, does it not? They're practically opposites, as people have mentioned on these boards a few times. Although I haven't heard it mentioned on these boards, 3 and 9 are also practically opposites, the peace-loving "My efforts won't make a difference in the world" type and the go-getter high achiever.

And if you reflect 4 over a line drawn through type 6 and the center of the Enneagram, you get type 8. If you reflect type 3 over that line, you get type 9.

The connections are symmetrical over the line drawn through type 6 and the center of the circle. The 5-1 and 7-2 are connections of similarity, and the 4-8 and 3-9 are connections of opposition. And type 6 stands alone.

Now, we know that types 5 and 1 are similar because of their stances on the belief issue. How are 7 and 2 related, thinking along the same lines? After that, 4-8 and 3-9 have to be figured out. Any ideas?
