If what you did was right, then submitting to power will only make the cycle repeat. My advice is that you should appoligize for what you did wrong, but not except responsibility for everything else.
A week ago, we had a sub in our chior. I love to sing, plus we have a concert in two weeks. We still needed alot of work, so i asked that we practice instead of having a study hall (anyway, we didn't even have our work with us). She warned me not to say anything, but I knew it was the right thing to do, instead of wasting the time. Now, she is really mad over this little thing. I've let her cool down, and this rervealed that my so called friend was never really a friend at all. If I would had submitted like I have done so many times before, the cycle would have continued, and I would have never discovered her true motives.
