I don't know. Maybe the first. Are you like that in other venues of life, too?

I'm not sure, though maybe self-assured people would tend to think of better reasons to choose the second option, and doubtful people would tend to think of better reasons to choose the first. The statements are broad enough to prompt that kind of individual interpretation, but contextually specific enough to ensure some useful meaning in an answer. For many people, this question might be a fair indicator of head or gut energy predominance.

Not one of the best RHETI items, since it's based on definitions of descriptive nouns; the best way to approach this item might be to concentrate on the last word of each statement (many of us do that naturally anyway). I choose the second statement easily, since I am prone to impatience but rarely to doubt.

I guess so, though my understanding of such Six-ish phenomenon is stunted, since the concept of wanting to fit into a group is mostly a mystery to me. As for the kind of balance you mention in reference to the type-One item? I suppose that's one way of feeling balanced; thus some Ones might fixate on that kind of balance.

The wording of the RHETI items *is* vague, though Enneagram tests don't get much better as of yet. I think it's important to reflect and elaborate upon your reactions to the test items, to better understand your motives. Your engagement in this activity, though supplemental to the test itself, might afford you more insight than the test results.
