I have noticed many young ones and fives in college already need glasses and/or contacts. Ones it seems are often strongly driven to take schoolwork seriously and often graduate high school in the top ten of their class. Many extend this drive to college. They do most everything 'perfectly' and are very independant and become involved in church or charity organizations. Female ones often are musicians, playing traditional instruments like violin and flute, trumpet in a marching band or folk group. Fives it seems excell in a subject insofar as it holds their interests. Ones strive to make everything perfectly and to please the teacher whereas fives focus on one subject often to the exclusion of another. Fives get more involved with solitary activities like computer games, D&D and the like. Some may call these 'geek' activities. Note on high achieving threes - these are the class and lab. networkers. Smoothly getting information from peers and at times not above cheating. At any rate it seems likely that intensified intellectual and scholastic pursuits are hard on the eyes. Hours of reading and staring at the monitors. I am no specialist on vision loss, and there is probably a genetic component, but overall there does seem a pattern between high academia and vision loss. Also it was written somewhere that TYPE FIXATION manifests itself most strongly in the late teens and early twenties. Does this seem on the mark in peoples experience? I say yes.
