I 'learned' the enneagram from the (relatively enlightened) Catholics here who ascribed the totems Eagle to E1 (which happens to have about the most acute sight in the 'birdworld') and Owl to E5 (penetrating sight). They described E5s eyes as being like 'vacuum cleaners'. They reckoned that enneatype tests should be answered, by those older, as if they were back at age 25. (Incidentally, they only accepted 'students' who were older than age 35, saying that to know of it before that age could somehow be counter-productive to the individual.) ========================= > At any rate it seems likely that intensified intellectual and scholastic > pursuits are hard on the eyes.
