Answering your questions in order: #1 whom ever #2 maxed on that already #3 yes #4 no #5 2 part question, part 1 no, part2 of course #6 see 7 #7 "A little knowledge is a bad thing." My conflict is with the bigoted mind set of many of the followers of the E gram, those who say that X may not exhibit the characteristics of Y because X is X. I am an arch typical E8, but I have a house full of my paintings non E gram people describe as delicate and sensitive. E gram people tend to disreguard them because I'm not the "type" to be doing things like that. When does a type become a steriotype? How does one break through that? Is this a common problem? Am I in a unique situation? How unique? What type are you? How much can I expect that to color your answers? Why do you answer questions with other questions? So?
> A couple things... Personally, I think that stretching your wings and developing different facets of yourself, even especially those that seem opposite or very different than your public or day-to-day persona, always means travelling in the right direction. But when you talk about wanting these more private things you enjoy to be taken more "seriously," I wonder "taken seriously by whom?" do you want to get more involved in these things yourself? if so, then take classes, or continue to develop on your own. Or do you want these things to be taken seriously by those close to you? Or society in general? Are you wanting to change your life or occupation, or are you just interested in further developing the side of you that responds to these more aesthetic enjoyments? Why are you feeling conflicted by this? Is the conflict to do with your own internal hierarchies about what is good to do and what is not, or are you concerned about others' views? More info, please!

I can empathize (and no, I'm not one of those "sensitive" types) with your frustration and resulting defiance, but where is this going? I'll reserve further comment until I hear from you more, but it's interesting.

But, when I come home, I paint pretty pictures, and write pretty poems, and cook gourmet food. I really would like the latter to be taken as seriously as the former. Can it, should it?
