The salad would be okay, although you are supposed to avoid tomatoes. Basically you have to limit your total carb intake to about 30-40 grams per day, so you could eat yogurt if you didn't eat any other carbs.

By severely restricting carbs you fool your body into thinking it is starving, so it switches to its back-up fuel supply of fat. It begins metabolizing your bodyfat into ketones and runs off of this instead of its normal fuel (glucose). However, more than 30-40 grams of carbs and your body will switch back to running off of glucose. They sell these little 'keto-stick' thingies at the drugstore that you pee on to see if you are in 'ketosis' - usually takes about 24 hours of carb restriction to enter ketosis, but it can take longer.

Sugar-Busters is a similar plan, but less restrictive and not focused on ketosis so much. Zone diet is less restrictive still, but similar to the other two in that you try to avoid all refined and starchy carbs. All three tend to level out your blood-sugar to a large extent.

I have read some of P's rants about soy, and I do agree with him that for males in particular it is probably wise to avoid making soy a primary foodsource; however, on Atkins such products are really just substitutes for carb-fillers like bread, so they probably aren't too bad.
