yes. > Sixes could still have had that mutual respect, but I don't think it would have shown itself in With regards to that persuasion of atheism thing, I never got around to specifying reasons why I felt that it sounded incorrect - since you sort of brought it up - here goes: According to my dictionary - persuasion 3a : OPINION BELIEF; esp: a system of religious beliefs b: a group adhering to a particular system of beliefs. This definition does not imply distinction amongst motivations for a specific belief. Eg. A catholic who chooses to be catholic because his family is catholic is not of a different persuasion from a catholic who has been converted. The belief defines the persuasion - not the motivation for the belief. Choosing not to believe is only one belief…or is it only one lack of belief…can ones belief be lack of belief….can ones belief be choosing not to believe - mmm…I hope you are as confused as I am. Here’s an illustration: Some people believe that red flying saucers visit earth - some believe they’re blue - some believe they’re yellow - and some choose not to believe there are flying saucers visiting earth. So there’s the red flying saucer persuasion - the blue flying saucer persuasion - the yellow flying saucer persuasion - the question remains - is there a no flying saucer persuasion - or maybe there’s no such thing as a no flying saucer persuasion because the no flying saucer people are not believing in the idea of flying saucers at all - its not a belief - its a lack of belief Oh well - perhaps a bit on the lame side - but hopefully you follow what I’m thinking. Sorry for the absence on enneagram content.
