Hi guys,
Hunter and I were chatting the other day, and had a funny exchange
about the trouble with triads in enneagram. As Hunter mentioned,
you can draw patterns from just about any grouping of three types.
What do you think?
Any mathematicians out there? How many possible divisions into three
groups are there?
Rebecca
Hunter Brooks> I think the whole symmetry things are stretching the
truth.
becca> yeah, people try too hard to make it all fit nicely.
Hunter Brooks> Like "triads" and such. Any three groups of three points
on the enneagram could be labeled in someway, symmetical or no.
Hunter Brooks> Give me three groups of three types.
becca> 3 4 6
becca> 1 2 9
becca> 5 7 8
Hunter Brooks> 346 is the "praise" group. They like praise and support
from other people.
becca> wow! you're good. :)
Hunter Brooks> 5 7 and 8 are the "nonchalant" group. They act calm as a
defense and will do anything to hide their feelings often.
becca> gee!
Hunter Brooks> 1 2 and 9 are the helping group. They hate to have people
sayb angry at them.
Hunter Brooks> But, you see my point...
Hunter Brooks> sayb was supposed to be "stay"
becca> i thought i picked a hard grouping, too.
becca>
becca> yeah, you're absolutely right.
becca> mind if I mail/post this some where? this is just too funny. :)
