I think it is important to make a clear distinction between what is considered a "wing" and what is your directions of integration and/or disintegration (the latter is what seems to be the point of Becca's revision). A "wing" is a more or less permanent part of your personality makeup-for ex. I myself will probably always be colored by my Five side, no matter how much I move against my arrow and become more self-actualized. True, I should discard the unhealthy aspects of Five as I go (same for Four), and take on the aspects of the type in my direction of integration, but my Four and Five aspects will not go bye-bye forever while I transmogrify into a Six-Five, Three-Nine, or whatever. I do like the new arrows, which in some ways make more sense than the old ones (esp for the 3-6-9 triad-the Enneagram always seemed aestethically displeasing when there are "two" separate typologies comprising it). ---John DiFool "Our skin like milk, our breath of words Like happy, awful and absurd" ---The Church, "Into My Hands"
