Peter, I am a 9 and an INTJ. When I make ritual routines, I seem to be
1.) avoiding repetitive decision-making and 2.) being obsessive-compulsive.
My day seems smoother if I have my Latte, muffin, run, take the same route
to the office, follow the schedule, etc. Then I have big blocks of time
when I mostly "hang out" solo and can experience my cerebral self without
a lot of distraction (or interaction.) My avocations are solo: run, bike, sail,
ski.

Nine describes much of this. The SeTe and NiFi modes describe some of it.
Prozac would probably solve it. I just decided it was "me" and maybe "that's
as good as it gets" for me. What realy bothers me more is that others
prefer the SeTe 3 guy more than the NiFi 9 guy. I identify more closely
with my introverted self than my extraverted persona.

I suspect each type has an equivalent but different shift; more
extraverted types may be less likely to notice it early on in life.
In some way I thought this subject was tied into an aspect of chemistry
mentioned in an earlier post, i.e., facets of personality and attraction.
Overall, I imagine many variables are at play for all of us.
