All e-types are dysfunctional manifestations to varying degrees. Can you be a little more specific?

Does one become more purely 'who' they are when dysfunctional, or less so?

No.

Could be. But, 4's always are delving into issues when they're entranced in the 4 mode. What are like when you're not delving into these "issues"? OUnless you're always delving into them.
