I would say quite the opposite--you can't know the nature of a thing UNTIL you transcend it. The fixation of type 5 is to believe amassing knowledge about a thing will lead to this complete understanding. I agree with Dave's response: with work on yourself and all aspects of your personality, you will end up incorporating things from all enneapoints. Then the understanding will come. - Hal -
