Amanda, you are right, it is the motivation behind the behavior that is important. Lilia is trying very hard to find her Enne number. Is it that important, I wonder! As long as one observes her/himself in her/his thoughts and actions one is doing fine, I think. The important thing is to be aware. Enneagram brings awareness. Maybe Lilia has reached that level where she can watch herself performing the traits mentioned in the types she feels close to. She only has to tell us.
I have a question here, if you or anyone else cares to answer: Do all 4's express themselves through something aesthetic- be it art, decoration, music, etc? One of my friends insisted she was a 4, but she did not look so expressive. She said she cooked good food. I don't think cooking is what 4's do to convey themselves. What do you think? Gigi
