Rocko:

I am also a Nine. Like you, my One and Eight RHETTI scores are very low. I score high in Five and Six. I also score moderately high in Three and Four. What this indicates to me is that I have a tendency to withdraw like Fives and Fours (albeit for different reasons) and that following the arrows of the e-gram, I connect more with Six than with Three. These results are very consistent with most e-gram theories.

Even though I score low in One, I do have a One wing. This took me awile to realize, but it is there. This wing manifests itself in a subtle manner and takes a back seat to my dominant Nine personality. For example, I catch myself internally being judgmental and critical like a One, but I very rarely act on these feelings. My Nine personality keeps this side of me in check. That is why the wing is harder to detect.

Although a wing may not manifest itself as openly in a person's personality as the person's dominant type, wings do affect our personalities.
