What this indicates to me is that I have a tendency to withdraw like Fives and Fours (albeit for different reasons) and that following the arrows of the e-gram, I connect more with Six than with Three. These results are very consistent with most e-gram theories.

> Even though I score low in One, I do have a One wing. This took me awile to realize, but it is there. This wing manifests itself in a subtle manner and takes a back seat to my dominant Nine personality. For example, I catch myself internally being judgmental and critical like a One, but I very rarely act on these feelings. My Nine personality keeps this side of me in check. That is why the wing is harder to detect.

** I concur completely--the best description of how wings work yet. I am a 9w1 and I definitely exhibit more perfectionist tendancies than aggression. I didn't score high in the 1, but I am like a 1 frequently, but ultimately a nine.

> Although a wing may not manifest itself as openly in a person's personality as the person's dominant type, wings do affect our personalities.

** Garth--I concur completely. You've captured the essence of wing theory very well. I, too, am a 9w1 and its easy to see the 1 character if I look for it, but not the 8. The tests don't capture this very well. Well done.
