Thank you for your thoughtful insights into Oneness. I will convey them to my mother as applicable. Devora-Leah : : : I'm wondering if there are healthy Ones out there who would be willing to share what their interests and passions are. This includes hobbies and the like, and on a deeper level, the themes that drive their lives.
: I forgot to go into themes. For myself, I guess I'd have to say "values." : Did you ever play any of the Ultima games from Ultima IV on? They all : revolve around a core set of virtues and principles. That fascinated me. : The honor code of the samurai. The spirit of fair play. The duty of : customer service. The responsibilities of political leadership. The : placing of people before cars, before developers' profits, before : architects' egos. Protecting the natural world -- I used to have to pass : through Gary, Ind., to get to and from college, and I can't see how anyone : can look at that place and not be instantly transformed into an : environmentalist. There are so many things in the world that transmit the : same message: "Something must be done." Which is what draws me to the : Confucian aphorism: "To see what's right and not do it is cowardice."
