This observation reminds me of my ex-wife's string of one boyfriends, who all appeared to be smelling something foul on their upper lips. Being a six, perhaps my underdog superego was simply reading more on their faces than their cop superego ever intended. Appreciate mention of Carl Sagan, for whom I have always held the strongest antipathy--another stink sniffer extraordinaire!
