As I see it, people are always changing, both along a general trend as we grow (hopefully and upward trend), and with many smaller (and larger) fluctuations in response to external events. You could argue that your level of health is defined by how well you respond to these difficult events, but for me, I can't see people as being fixed at a specific level of emotional health. More than anything, I find it ridiculous to try to compartmentalize and quantify these levels to such a degree. How much difference is there between level 5 and level 6 anyway, for example, and what do we really gain by assigning this number to ourselves? And please don't anyone take this as an invitation to say that we shouldn't assign any numbers to people, like, say, enneatypes... :-)
