God has never been much use as a Father figure I've found. I'm sure he is for some people, but what I wanted was a physical father. I already have an absent one on my birth certificate - or rather not on it - I have a mystery father, what I want is one with a definate face and body. I don't have a very strong sense of a personal God, and sometimes He can feel just as absent a Father as my natural one.
