The Enneagram isn't just an intellectual interest to most people, but a way to connect with others who can understand them, and to learn to connect with those who might not and help them to understand them. Different types learning to understand each other. Same types being supportive of each other and helping each other along and to progress.
We do have a lot of intellectual input too. It fluctuates and sometimes is all mixed together with more emotional personal expression. As the subject matter is personality types, it is obvious we will talk about ourselves and each others behaviour, experiences, hopes, fears, etc. you can only really grasp the E-gram by listening to others experiences.
