Rules for posting on the entire 9types.com Web Site

Offensive messages will not be tolerated. Typical examples of such messages are

negative name-calling and ad homini (character) attacks
any messages that have a considerable negative effect on the board's tone, readability and usability.
Any post which accuses or speculates that one poster is another

Such offending posts will be deleted even if that post contains additional substantial content. Any questions or comments regarding message deletion should be directed to the appropriate moderator via email, not posted on the boards.

In extreme cases, a poster can be banned from the site. Irresponsible activity, such as spamming, that causes the destruction of archived or non-archived messages, will result in the offender being banned.

Additional Rules for posting on the Main Board

The main board is intended for messages related to the Enneagram and other personality typologies. Therefore the messages should deal broadly with

Enneagram: either with the theory behind it or the Enneagram applied in practical situations or
Other typologies in the similar way

These issues can be approached from any point of view, generally or specifically, personally or universally.

Additional Rules for posting on the Type 4 Board

Please be respecful of the thoughts and feelings of other posters and visitors.
All discussion is welcome, but bear in mind that discussion that does not relate to the topic of the board is meant for the Chat Board.
Please avoid profanity, especially in message titles.
Any requests for deletions, and/or comments, are best sent via email to me.
Remember that many people identify very strongly with their enneagram/MBTI type. It does not do much good for the discussion, and is very insensitive to declare that a person's type is something other than what they have said, especially without stating the reasons behind your thoughts.

In general, say what you have to say, but don't do it at the expense of others. Again, if you are wondering why a post was deleted, send me an email at matches@stratos.net and I'll explain the reasons for it.

Additional Rules for posting on the Type 5 Board

The fiveboard is unlike all the other boards in the way the rules are interpreted here. All rules in the above section "Rules for posting on the entire 9types.com Web Site" apply, but are open for a very liberal interpretation by the moderator. Because the posters on the fiveboard find it hard to be offended, there's not a large number of posts which will be deleted. As well, it states in the rules that negative name-calling attacks will be erased, but because the posters on the fiveboard generally view name-calling as a fun game of wits, they are not regarded as "negative". Keep in mind, however, that obviously malicious and detrimental posts WILL be deleted at the moderator's discretion. Please email Emily if there is a specific post that you found offensive and feel should be removed.

The chat board is intented for people to post informal enneagram messages and get to know other posters, so posts should fall into the following three broad categories.
